2. Fort Worth Zoo

We have one of the best zoos right in our backyard! Zoo admission is $14 for adults (age 13+) and $10 for kids (3-12) while 2 & under are free. Wednesdays are half price if you want to cut your costs, but you will have a large crowd especially during Spring Break.

5. IMAX

Right inside the Children’s Museum is the IMAX. It’s an easy way to sneak in a little education during the kids’ week off! There are 3 kid friendly features being shown on Spring Break: Bugs! A Rainforest Adventure, Coral Reef Adventure, and National Parks Adventure. The cost is $8 for adults and $7 for kids.

6. Feed the Ducks / Go to a Park

For all you Parker County residents, you can feed the ducks at Holland Lake Park. There’s also a playground and some trails as well. Aledo moms go to Bearcat park. You can work in some play time if you take your kids to ride the train in Fort Worth too. There is a station at Trinity park.

7. Go to the Library

Gather up the kids for story time at East Parker County Library in Aledo on Friday at 10:30 or the Weatherford Library on Wednesday or Friday at 10:30. You can always just spend a quiet afternoon reading with your kids at the library too!

8. Have a Tea Party

I love the idea of hosting a little mini party for your kids. This Alice in Wonderland tea party is adorable and not too complicated and overwhelming. Her simple tips are great even if you don’t want to create a party but just have a playdate!

9. Decorate Sugar Cookies

I love making (and eating) sugar cookies. I let my kids decorate some for Valentine’s Day. They had a blast, and it wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be! Use this Royal Icing with egg white recipe. Pour the icing into squeeze bottles and let the kids get creative!

10. The Little Mermaid

I saved the biggest for last – The Little Mermaid at Fair Park in Dallas. If you don’t want to make the drive to Dallas over Spring Break, the show is coming to Fort Worth at the Bass Hall from March 29 to April 3.

Have a wonderful Spring Break with your littles! If you have any real estate needs, please let me know! I’d be happy to answer any questions or view some properties with you!
